Death Has No Master

After nearly two decades abroad, Caro returns to Venezuela to sell her late father’s cacao plantation, only to find the family estate occupied by its former workers, who refuse to leave. As her determination to reclaim the inheritance intensifies, the plantation becomes a battleground where property, memory, class, and colonial violence collide.

Death Has No Master turns the possibility of returning home into a dark psychological confrontation with the histories buried in the land itself.  Blending psychological tension with social observation, the film explores the emotional consequences of migration and crisis, reminding us that continents are also defined by those who are compelled to leave them.
