Aki is a meditative portrait of life in Atikameksheng Anishnawbek, Darlene Naponse’s home community in Northern Ontario.
Moving through the Anishinaabe seasons, the film observes land, water, animals, ceremony, work, and community life without conventional narration, allowing stories to emerge through gesture, sound, and the changing rhythms of the natural world.
