Within a Mennonite community in northern Mexico, a farmer’s love for another woman quietly disrupts the fragile order of family and faith.
Told with extraordinary patience and luminous imagery, Reygadas’ masterpiece explores the coexistence of multiple cultures within a single territory, revealing Mexico as a continent of languages, beliefs, and traditions that transcend political borders.
